- Submit your application to the Board of Nursing, fulfilling all necessary requirements, including a fingerprint-based background check.

Students have a 4-week timeframe to complete the online component of the 76-hour program, and 1 week for the conversion program. Exceeding this period incurs an additional $100 fee for another 4 weeks. Contact the instructor promptly to avoid account deactivation and charges.
For clinical sessions, a 48-hour notice is required for rescheduling. Failure to notify or attend incurs a $100 rescheduling fee. Weekly email reminders are sent to ensure completion by the due date.

Are there any requirements for becoming a Home Health Aide in NJ?
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Driver’s License or State ID (must be issued in NJ)
- SSID or ITIN
- 2×2 Photo
- Initial or First-Time Application: A photo will be taken on the 2nd day of the clinical session and used as your 2×2 photo.
- Reinstatement or Re-application: Kindly bring your physical 2×2 passport photo to submit to the office manager.
- Marriage or Divorce Documents (only required if your name has changed)
- US Citizenship Documents (if you’re not a U.S. citizen, provide one of the following: Green Card, Employment Authorization Card, or Certificate of Naturalization)
- Criminal Background Document/s (if applicable):
- Include any supporting documents like a police report, expungement letter, disposition letter, agency recommendation, and/or a personal letter addressed to the NJ Board of Nursing explaining the situation.
- Board of Nursing Fee:
- Initial or First-Time Application: $80.00 fee for fingerprinting and background checks. Bring a certified check (no personal checks), cash, or money order payable to Care Training Academy.
- Reinstatement and Re-application: This is reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on when your initial application was submitted or when your license expired.
